​John trained to be a primary teacher in New Zealand before moving to the UK to play rugby in 1998 and found his way into Education Recruitment and has never looked back. He has worked across all areas of Education Recruitment from Early Years through to Secondary, SEN, International, perms, temp and day to day, holding roles from consultant through to Managing Partner with both small and multi-national companies.

John has spent most of the last 10 years working across the Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire counties and will be overseeing the launch of our Cambridge branch as of September 2025.

In his spare time John is still very much a lover of sports, particularly rugby and football, however, finds watching much preferable (easier) to playing now.
