Location: Richmond, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444 per week (PAYE)

A prep school in Richmond is seeking a full-time 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a Year 5 pupil with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This 1:1 Learning Support Assistant role is ideal for someone calm, caring, and proactive, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s academic and social development.
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will help the pupil access lessons, adapt tasks to suit his needs, and encourage participation in both classroom and co-curricular activities. You will provide support in core subjects as well as in Games, Drama, and Music, helping the child build confidence and progress academically and socially. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Physiotherapists.

- Providing consistent, patient support in both academic and co-curricular settings
We’re looking for:
- A UK degree at 2:1 or above (preferred)
- Strong communication, patience, and initiative
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
- A commitment to the full academic year
