An all-boys secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint an Aspiring Educational Psychologist to work as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural and emotional needs both in and out of the classroom.

An all-boys secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint an Aspiring Educational Psychologist to work as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural and emotional needs both in and out of the classroom.
Aspiring Educational Psychologist – The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to boys who require additional academic or pastoral support
- Work closely with pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs across KS3 and KS4
- Support teachers with lesson delivery, behaviour management and classroom engagement
- Build positive, professional relationships to help pupils remain focused and motivated
- Gain hands-on experience working alongside the SENCO, pastoral teams and external specialists
- A graduate with a Psychology or related degree
- A clear interest in progressing into Educational Psychology, SEN or Child Psychology
- Confident, resilient and able to work effectively with secondary-aged boys
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Able to commit to a full-time role for the academic year
- Excellent preparation for Educational Psychology training or a relevant Master’s degree
- Long-term, full-time position in a well-structured and supportive secondary setting
