As an Autism Support Assistant, you will work closely with the SENDCo and a team of professionals, providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism and associated learning needs.

Key responsibilities of an Autism Support Assistant include:

  • Assisting with classroom activities, interventions, and behaviour management strategies
To be considered for this Autism Support Assistant role, you should:

  • Have previous experience working with children, ideally those with SEN
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
This Autism Support Assistant role would suit a recent graduate looking to gain meaningful school experience, or an individual with existing experience in SEN support. The school offers a supportive and professional environment, where the work of every Autism Support Assistant is highly valued.
