Autism Support Assistant | Hounslow | September 2025
 
Are you a compassionate Autism Support Assistant ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? This role offers the opportunity to support students aged 11–19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and behavioural needs in a nurturing, therapy-informed environment that has been praised for its inclusive ethos and exceptional outcomes.

Autism Support Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions for students with ASC
  • Support communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
  • Act as part of a tutor group, building consistent relationships and trust with students
  • Collaborate with SEN teachers, therapists and senior leaders to deliver tailored strategies
  • Contribute to a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment where pupils can meet the school’s high expectations
  • Encourage independence, resilience and confidence through structured approaches
Autism Support Assistant Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or neurodiverse needs
  • Resilient, empathetic and proactive in approach
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to implement structured strategies
  • Awareness of sensory needs and emotional regulation techniques
  • Background in psychology, education, youth work or therapy (advantageous but not essential)
