Autism Support Assistant
Salary: £29,412 to £30,240 per annum
Start: Spring Term 2026
Location: Cricklewood, Brent – NW2
Are you passionate about helping pupils with Autism to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential? We’re recruiting two Autism Support Assistants to join a specialist setting supporting pupils aged 7 to 16 with Autism and associated needs.
This is a hands-on role for someone who brings energy, patience, and consistency to the classroom and takes pride in making a measurable difference every day.

The role

- Support teachers to deliver structured, engaging lessons
- Provide tailored support to pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Deliver bespoke interventions in partnership with teaching staff and wider support teams
- Encourage communication, independence, and emotional regulation through consistent routines
To be considered, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a UK university
- Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally Autism, in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, team-first attitude and a genuine commitment to pupil progress
- Supportive leadership and a welcoming staff team
