Autism Support Assistant | Kensington & Chelsea | February 2026 Start

£110 – £120 per day (term-time only | approx. £21,450 – £23,400 per year | FTE approx. £28,600 – £31,200)

Are you a passionate Autism Support Assistant looking to make a genuine difference? Autism Support Assistant Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions to students with ASC
  • Support communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
  • Work closely within a tutor group to build trust, consistency and positive routines
  • Collaborate with SEN teachers, therapists and senior leaders to implement personalised strategies
  • Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive
  • Promote independence, confidence and resilience through structured support
Autism Support Assistant Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or neurodiverse needs
  • A calm, resilient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and confidence following structured interventions
  • Understanding of sensory needs and emotional regulation strategies
  • Psychology, education, youth work or therapy background is desirable (not essential)
