Behaviour Mentor | Psychology Graduate Opportunity | London | September Start

Support behaviour. Build trust. Create change.

Are you a Psychology graduate ready to turn your academic insight into real-world impact? Step into a Behaviour Mentor role and support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs across diverse and inclusive London schools.

Working closely with SENCOs and Pastoral Leads, you’ll deliver targeted interventions, promote emotional wellbeing, and become a trusted adult figure for children who need structure, encouragement and consistency.

What you’ll be doing as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across primary or secondary settings

  • Delivering 1:1 and small group sessions focused on emotional regulation and self-esteem

  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • Encouraging consistent routines, improved behaviour, and engagement with learning

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and specialists to implement effective support plans

We’re looking for a Behaviour Mentor who:

  • Has a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Sociology or a related degree

  • Brings energy, empathy, and resilience to a classroom setting

  • Is passionate about child development, behaviour support, or mental health

  • Can commit to a full-time role for the entire academic year

  • Has previous experience with children or young people (preferred but not essential)

Why apply for this Behaviour Mentor role?

  • Full-time, long-term contract from September 2025 – July 2026

  • Weekly pay between £450–£525 (PAYE)

  • Valuable experience ahead of a career in Educational or Clinical Psychology, Therapy, or Youth Work

  • Opportunities across a wide range of London boroughs

If you’re ready to take your Psychology degree beyond the classroom and make a direct difference in a child’s school experience, this Behaviour Mentor opportunity is your ideal next step.

Apply now to join a supportive school environment where you can grow professionally while helping children thrive emotionally.
