Behaviour Mentor – Lewisham – January 2026 Start
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Contract: January 2026 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: Minimum £444 per week (PAYE)

Are you a Psychology or Criminology graduate looking to build hands-on experience working with children who have social, emotional, or behavioural needs?
This Behaviour Mentor role in Lewisham gives you the chance to make a real impact by supporting pupils who find school life more challenging. As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to help pupils manage their emotions, regulate their behaviour, and re-engage with learning.
In this Behaviour Mentor position, you’ll deliver 1:1 mentoring sessions, support behaviour plans, and guide pupils through day-to-day challenges. The Behaviour Mentor will be key in helping pupils develop positive relationships and coping strategies that build resilience inside and outside the classroom.

The Role:
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Run small group workshops on social skills and emotional regulation
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (08:30–15:30, term-time only)
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology, Criminology, or related subject
- Confident, calm, and empathetic nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply
