Business & Operations Administrator – Newham, Stratford – February 2026 Start
Are you an experienced school-based administrator looking to progress your career within education operations? Ribbons and Reeves are partnered with a highly organised Secondary School in Newham, Stratford, to recruit a Business & Operations Administrator for a February 2026 start.
This is a full-time, all-year-round maternity cover position running until October half term, offering valuable continuity and exposure to whole-school operations. The role is ideal for someone with prior school-based experience who is keen to develop a long-term career in education, with clear progression towards School Business Manager roles or future Senior Leadership Team (SLT) responsibilities.

Business & Operations Administrator – What the Role Offers:
- Weekly pay between £444–£513 PAYE

- Hands-on experience across compliance, Health & Safety, and school operations
- A strong foundation for progression into Business Manager or SLT roles
- Supporting the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team with daily operational and administrative tasks
- Managing and maintaining paperwork relating to compliance, Health & Safety, and risk assessments
- Assisting with audits, statutory returns, and policy documentation
- Supporting HR administration, including confidential record keeping
- Ensuring GDPR-compliant handling of sensitive data
- Coordinating meetings, managing diaries, and supporting internal communications
- Previous experience working within a school environment is ideal
- Strong administrative experience, particularly with compliance, Health & Safety, and risk assessments
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with formal documentation
- Ambitious and motivated to progress into Business Management or SLT roles
- Holds a valid visa and an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one)
