Are you an ambitious Economics graduate looking to become an Economics Teacher?

An ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Tower Hamlets, that consistently achieves some of the highest GCSE and A-Level results in the country, is seeking an Economics Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across the Economics department.

As an Economics Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with pupils in KS4 to KS5, providing classroom assistance, subject-specific intervention, and academic mentoring. You’ll also support learners with SEN, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in Economics.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing in-class support in Economics lessons
• Running 1:1 and group interventions for underachieving students
• Helping with lesson resources, planning, and marking
• Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds

This role is ideal for aspiring Economics teachers and offers an exceptional opportunity to gain experience in one of the UK’s top-performing schools.

We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Economics from a Top 10 UK University
• Outstanding academic record, including excellent A-Level and GCSE results
• Confidence in supporting A-Level Economics students
• A genuine interest in education and social development
• Commitment from September 2025 to July 2026
