We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and committed individual with a passion for learning and the ability to inspire the minds of young children.

The successful candidate will join an inclusive, hard-working school in the borough of Hounslow, and be tasked with supervising and supporting pupils outside of the classroom. You will play an active role in supporting emotional regulation across KS2, ensuring that all students have access to learning in order to achieve their full potential.

Emotional Support Assistant | Job Details:

• Primary School in Feltham, Hounslow | February 2024 Start
• £100+ per day | Paid via PAYE on a weekly basis
• Monday to Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
• Supporting the emotional needs of pupils across KS2

Emotional Support Assistant | Job Requirements:

• A minimum of a 2:1 Psychology-based Degree preferably from a Top 20 UK University
• Either an ELSA qualification, or a background in Psychology or Counselling
• A confident, outgoing personality with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and students alike
• The patience, resilience and determination to make a positive impact
• Prior experience supporting children with SEND
• The ability to think-quickly, be adaptable and want to get fully immersed in school-life

This Emotional Support Assistant role will require you to help children emotionally regulate in order to access classroom learning. An ideal candidate would have either an ELSA qualification, or a background in Psychology or Counselling. Lots of these pupils have experienced some form of trauma, therefore being trauma informed is necessary. Building strong and trusting relationships with these children is the key to success!
