At Ribbons & Reeves we are always seeking an English Academic Mentor to support secondary school students in Greenwich to provide them with English Language & Literature mentorship in the lead up to the busy exam period.

This English Academic Mentor role requires an individual who is:

• Minimum of a 2:1 degree from a Top 20 UK University.
• Good grades at A-Level and GCSEs in English related subjects
• Previous child centred or tutoring experience.
• Passion and commitment to aid students in the lead up to the exam period
• English Academic Mentor role commencing Septembe 

English Academic Mentor role summary:

• Plan and teach English lessons to KS3 & KS4 students (with KS5 option)
• Receive mentorship and training from an outstanding English department
• Assist Years 7-13 students applying to Russell group and Oxbridge Universities
• Support students in a classroom setting, 1:1, and through small group interventions
• Increase academic progression of students.

As a English Academic Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in a very important stage of the student’s education. Our partner schools in Greenwich are where learning is second to none, this role is ideal for an aspiring teacher who is keen to gain some hands-on experience.
