English Graduate Tutor – Richmond – September 2025 Start

 
Location: Richmond, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you an English graduate looking to work as an English Graduate Tutor in a secondary school?

 
A school in Richmond is looking to appoint an English Graduate Tutor from September. This English Graduate Tutor role is perfect for graduates who want to gain first-hand classroom experience before applying for teacher training.

 
As an English Graduate Tutor, you will support students with reading, writing, and exam preparation. You will run small group sessions, provide one-to-one support, and help teachers prepare engaging resources. This English Graduate Tutor position will allow you to see how students learn best and how teachers manage progress in English at both KS3 and KS4.

 
Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils during English lessons
  • Running small intervention groups in reading and writing
  • Supporting students preparing for GCSE exams
  • Helping teachers with lesson planning and resources
  • Tracking and reporting on student progress
 
We’re looking for:
  • A UK degree at 2:1 or above in English or a related subject
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • An interest in education and working with young people
  • Commitment to the full academic year
 
Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. Overseas degrees, even with a UK Master’s, cannot be considered. Applicants must also have UK citizenship or the right to work.
