Are you an English Graduate with a passion for language, literature and learning?

 
We’re working with a fantastic secondary school in Hounslow that is seeking an English Graduate to join their team as a Teaching Assistant from September 2025. This English Graduate role is ideal for someone looking to gain school-based experience before training to teach or progressing into publishing, education, or youth support roles.

 
As an English Graduate, you’ll be supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4 English lessons, offering 1:1 and small group support to help with reading, writing, and comprehension. The school has a supportive English department and will provide tailored training to help you build confidence in the classroom. The English Graduate will also assist with intervention programmes, literacy clubs, and exam preparation.

 
English Graduate – Key Responsibilities:

• Support KS3 and KS4 pupils in English lessons
• Provide reading and writing interventions
• Help with GCSE preparation and class engagement
• Contribute to enrichment activities and literacy clubs

 
Person Specification:

• 2:1 or above in English or related subject
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Confident working with young people
