Are you an English graduate looking to gain experience in education?

A well-regarded secondary school in Greenwich is seeking an English Tutor to provide targeted intervention support for students across KS3 and KS4.

As an English Tutor, you’ll work with pupils to provide academic mentoring, small-group and 1:1 intervention sessions, and classroom support. You’ll help learners who are underachieving or face barriers to learning, promoting engagement and confidence in English Language and Literature.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing in-class support in English Language and Literature
• Running 1:1 and small-group interventions for underachieving students
• Assisting with lesson resources, planning, and marking
• Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds

This role is ideal for aspiring English teachers or graduates keen to support students in achieving their full potential in English.

We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or First-Class degree in English or a related field
• Strong A-Level and GCSE Results
• A genuine interest in education and student development
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Commitment from January to July 2026
