Key Responsibilities
EYFS Support Assistant | Support for Pupils
- Use personal skills, training, and experience to support the holistic development of a pupil as an EYFS Support Assistant.
- Help implement and review individual targets and learning plans.
- Support the pupil’s access to learning, play, and social interactions using appropriate strategies and resources.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and self-reliance.
- Assist in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Observe and monitor pupil responses to learning, contributing to assessments and reviews.
- Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on pupil progress.
- Promote positive attitudes and behaviour in line with the school’s values.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, under the direction of the teacher.
Essential
- Experience working with or caring for Early Years children.
- Degree in a relevant subject (Early Years, Education Studies, Psychology)
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
- Calm, compassionate, and responsive under pressure.
- NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Intention to pursue additional qualifications (THRIVE, ELSA, Place2Be)
