Graduate Autism Support Worker | Barking & Dagenham | September Start

Your role as a Graduate Autism Support Worker will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with Autism in a mainstream setting.

  • Helping the pupil remain regulated and engaged in their learning.

  • Working collaboratively with the Class Teacher, SENDCo, parents, and the Educational Psychologist.

  • Supporting the pupil through their work and encouraging progress.

  • Ensuring the child has access to the curriculum and develops both academically and socially.

Essential requirements for the Graduate Autism Support Worker role:

  • A 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK University.

  • A genuine desire to progress into Teacher Training or Psychology.

  • Proactive, dedicated, and flexible approach to daily challenges.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.

  • Previous child-based experience is desirable.
