Graduate Teaching Assistant – Core Subjects & Psychology Graduates

📍 Location: Barnet, North London
📅 Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
💰 Pay: £105.00 per day (PAYE)

We’re now recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant boys’ secondary school in Barnet, North London, for the full 2025–2026 academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience before pursuing teacher training, educational psychology, or a related pathway.

Whether your degree is in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, or Psychology, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting and support pupils aged 11–18.

What you’ll do as a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide academic support across your subject specialism in lessons, small groups, and 1:1 settings
  • Work closely with students who have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or low literacy/numeracy
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to deliver targeted interventions and classroom assistance
  • Develop positive relationships with students and contribute to their academic and emotional progress
Graduate Teaching Assistant - Who we’re looking for:
  • A First-Class or 2:1 degree in a core academic subject or Psychology
  • Ideally from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university
  • A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to working with young people
  • Commitment to the full academic year from September 2025 to July 2026
