We are working in partnership with a high-performing independent secondary school in Hertfordshire, to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of Geography for a September 2026 start.

The Role | Head of Geography
- Lead and develop the Geography department across KS3-KS5
- Shape and deliver a rigorous, engaging Geography curriculum
- Line-manage and mentor Geography staff
- Monitor pupil progress and drive high standards of teaching and learning
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and strategic development
The Ideal Candidate | Head of Geography
Essential Criteria
- PGCE (Secondary) in Geography with QTS
- Strong subject knowledge across Physical and Human Geography
- Proven track record of excellent classroom practice
- Either:
- Current Head of Geography seeking a move, or
- An ambitious Geography teacher ready to step up into a first Head of Department role
