• Lead History and Politics teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

• Develop and deliver a relevant, engaging curriculum that inspires students to become ethical citizens.

• Ensure excellent outcomes, with 2024 results including:

• 100% A-C in A-Level History & Politics*

• 98% Grades 9-4 in GCSE History

• Manage departmental planning, assessment, and budget, ensuring alignment with school strategies.

• Lead and develop a team of teachers, offering support and promoting effective teaching practices.

• Contribute to the wider school community, including co-curricular activities and student welfare.

Head of History and Politics - Requirements

• QTS (or equivalent) and a strong academic background in History and Politics.

• Proven success in teaching A-Level Politics and GCSE History.

• Leadership experience or potential, with a commitment to raising academic standards.
