A successful and inclusive South London secondary school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Head of Year to join their pastoral leadership team from September 2025.

Head of Year | Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the behaviour, wellbeing, and personal development of a designated year group
• Support and guide a team of form tutors to deliver consistent, high-quality pastoral care
• Use data effectively to monitor attendance, behaviour, and progress, implementing targeted interventions
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and external agencies to ensure wraparound support
• Promote a culture of high expectations, respect, and ambition across the year group

The successful Head of Year must be a strong, empathetic leader with excellent communication, pastoral care and organisational skills. They should inspire high standards, support student wellbeing, and build positive relationships with staff, students, and families, promoting a safe, inclusive environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their potential.
