As a History Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, knowledge-rich History lessons with clear explanations and strong subject authority
- Plan lessons that build powerful historical understanding, vocabulary and extended writing
- Use assessment and feedback intelligently to close gaps and accelerate progress
- Contribute to a department culture where consistency, scholarship and ambition are the norm
- Support pupils to develop excellent habits for learning and achievement
You should be:
- A confident History specialist with exceptional subject knowledge and communication skills
- Ambitious, resilient, and highly receptive to feedback and coaching
- Fully aligned with a school culture of calm classrooms, firm routines and purposeful learning
To be considered, you must have:
- A History degree from a top UK university — ideally a First Class degree from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university
- Qualified teachers (QTS): You’ll be expected to deliver excellent teaching and contribute to department improvement from day one.
- Unqualified teachers: Outstanding graduates will be considered and supported to develop into high-impact classroom teachers.
