KS2 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) | About the Role
As a KS2 Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will:
- Support the class teacher in preparing materials and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help to understand the curriculum.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive, focused learning environment.
- Encourage inclusive education by helping every child feel valued and supported.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Adaptable: Flexible in supporting different students and classroom needs.
- Empathetic: Emotionally intelligent, caring, and understanding of pupils’ individual challenges.
- Professional: Punctual, reliable, and responsible in all tasks.
- A Team Player: Collaborative and able to build positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
- A Clear Communicator: Confident in giving instructions and providing feedback in a respectful and encouraging manner.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting.
- Relevant training or qualifications in education or special needs support, including a degree in a relevant subject.
