Job description
Year 6 Learning Support Assistant (Autism Support) | Coulsdon
Are you a patient and emotionally intelligent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting a child with Autism? Would you like to build your understanding of behaviour, communication and emotional regulation ahead of a future career in Psychology, Therapy or Teaching?
We are looking for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil who has recently joined a friendly and welcoming mainstream primary school in Coulsdon.
This child is bright, capable and enthusiastic about learning, but as they are new to the school, they are still settling in socially and getting used to new routines. They can sometimes become anxious or overwhelmed during busy parts of the day, so they will benefit from calm, consistent and reassuring support to help them feel safe, included and confident in class.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo, helping this pupil remain focused, access learning tasks, manage transitions and build positive relationships with their peers.
What the school can offer you:
If you’re a graduate who is proactive, caring and loves supporting young people, apply today to join this supportive Coulsdon primary school.
