The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social/emotional barriers.
- Helping to differentiate classwork, ensuring all pupils can access learning at their level.
- Supporting behaviour management and encouraging positive classroom engagement.
- Assisting class teachers with lesson preparation, activity set-up and learning resources.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant who:
- Has previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational or SEN setting.
- Demonstrates empathy, patience and a nurturing approach to student development.
- Can adapt quickly, use initiative, and confidently support a variety of needs.
- Communicates clearly and works effectively as part of a school team.
- Is committed to securing the best outcomes for young people.
