Pay: £444-£513 per week (PAYE)

Are you a graduate with a passion for inclusion and support, looking to become a Learning Support Mentor?

A caring and inclusive primary school in Newham, London is recruiting a Learning Support Mentor to work with pupils who need additional help in and out of the classroom. This Learning Support Mentor role is well suited to graduates interested in SEND, speech therapy, or educational psychology.

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will assist pupils with learning difficulties or barriers to education, including autism, ADHD and speech and language needs. The school is looking for a Learning Support Mentor who is kind, reliable, and able to build strong relationships with children and staff.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Providing in-class and withdrawal support
• Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
• Assisting with personalised learning and resources
• Promoting independence and self-esteem
• Working alongside the SENCo and external specialists

We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education or a related field
• A patient and supportive personality
• An interest in SEND and inclusive education
• Commitment to the full academic year

Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees, even with a UK Master’s. Sponsorship is not available, so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
