Are you a high-achieving Maths graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting? We’re recruiting for a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded boys’ secondary school in Barnet, supporting students aged 14–18 with both special educational needs and academic interventions.

As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working across GCSE and A-Level year groups, supporting students with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, and dyscalculia. You’ll play a key role in delivering Maths interventions in small groups and 1:1, helping to build students’ confidence and fill critical learning gaps.

In your day-to-day as a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll:

• Assist in mainstream lessons alongside subject teachers
• Provide tailored Maths support through structured interventions
• Collaborate with the SEND and Maths departments to monitor progress
• Help students develop strategies for problem-solving and independent learning

This Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for aspiring Maths teachers, educational psychologists, or those interested in academic mentoring. You’ll be supported by a skilled SENDCo and a team of graduate teaching assistants, many of whom go on to teacher training or postgraduate study.

• A First-Class or 2:1 degree in Maths (or closely related subject)
• Strong numeracy and communication skills
• A genuine interest in SEN and supporting young people in education
• A commitment to working the full academic year from September 2025
