A 1-form entry primary school in Wandsworth is recruiting a Part-time Art & Design Teacher to deliver lessons across KS1 and KS2. This role is ideal for teachers or graduates with a background in Art, Design, or Education who are looking to gain teaching experience in a dynamic and collaborative school environment.

 
About the School:

• 1-form entry community primary school for ages 2–11
• Beautiful, historic building with modern classrooms and large outdoor learning spaces
• Expanding Early Years provision for 2- and 3-year-olds, with a 9-month setting planned
• High EAL population (around 60%) with over 49 languages spoken
• New, ambitious SLT with five new teachers, including three ECTs
• Collaborative and values-driven environment
• Mornings focus on academic learning; afternoons on broader curriculum and enrichment opportunities

 
The Role:

• Deliver engaging Art & Design lessons across KS1 and KS2 as part of PPA cover
• Support pupils’ creativity, confidence, and practical skills in visual arts
• Plan and prepare lessons and resources in collaboration with class teachers
• Encourage teamwork, independence, and a love of learning in the classroom
• Hours: Part-time within the school day to cover PPA sessions

 
We’re Looking For:

• Qualified teacher or graduate with a relevant degree in Art, Design, or Education
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and creative approach to teaching
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in classroom teaching is beneficial but not essential
