The role of a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- Work closely with students aged 11–18 who have a range of SEND needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
- Support teachers in creating inclusive and engaging classroom environments.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to personalised learning plans.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to ensure every child receives the care and guidance they need.
- A 1st Class or 2:1 degree in Psychology from a leading UK university.
- A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting those with additional learning needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and patience at the core of your approach.
- Any experience working with children or vulnerable individuals — whether through tutoring, youth work, mentoring, or volunteering — is highly valued.
- A long-term commitment and a passion for pursuing a career in education or psychology.
