The successful candidate will work across the school and undertake a varied role. The school are looking for a hardworking, trustworthy, reliable and proactive individual who has high standards and take pride in their work.

School Caretaker role Summary:

• Based in Richmond Upon Thames.
• School Caretaker Salary £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
• 23 days annual leave plus 3 days Christmas close and 8 bank holidays.

• Experience in caretaking required.

• School Caretaker job start date: ASAP.
• Interviews for the Caretaker role starting immediately!

School Caretaker responsibilities include:

• Lock/unlock school buildings and areas in the mornings and evenings.
• Experience & understanding of site issues.
• Ability to communicate in a professional, effective and courteous manner.
• Awareness and understanding of the safeguarding of young people
• Has knowledge and understanding of health and safety procedures
• Has a good standard of DIY skills to undertake general maintenance and repairs
• Ability to carry out maintenance – DIY trade preferred

The Caretaker will need to be a strong communicator, have strong written and record-keeping skills, be physically fit and be able to respond to emergencies occurring outside normal working hours.
