School Finance Manager | Hounslow

A fantastic school are looking for their new School Finance Manager! If you are an accomplished School Finance Manager or highly experienced accountant, then please read on.

The school are seeking an experienced individual who is dynamic and proactive and able to lead a busy department. It is essential that the candidate is able to work under pressure and demonstrate a capacity to multi-task efficiently and effectively.

School Finance Manager salary is £40,000 - £50,000.

School Finance Manager Duties Include:

• Day-to-day management of the finance team.
• Prepare and review of monthly management accounts.
• Support the finance team in completion of all financial reports.
• To ensure that financial standards are complied with in line with current legislation and the requirements of the ESFA, Dfe, Charities Commission, HMRC and other organisations as required.
• Ensuring compliance is correct with statutory requirements and financial regulations and procedures.
• Take responsibility for the schools accounting procedures, ensuring financial handbooks are kept up to date and adherence to all policies and procedures.

School Finance Manager requirements:

• Degree level qualification & accountancy qualification.
• Proven experience of strong supervisory skills to lead and manage the team day to day.
• Experience of working in a school is desirable.
• Strong persuasive, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
• Proven experience of being responsible for production of monthly management accounts and all associated financial activities which underpin these.
• Experience of using a recognised accounting software e.g. HOGE Financial Accounting (or equivalent).
• Willingness to be flexible around working hours to meet the needs of the school.
• Experience of managing significant financial resources with a good appreciation of relevant regulatory frameworks.
