Are you a Science Graduate from a top UK university, looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive secondary school environment? We’re working with a thriving boys’ secondary school in Camden that is keen to welcome a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students aged 14–18 with their science learning and broader academic development.

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will assist in both general SEN provision and targeted science interventions. You will work closely with students who need extra help with scientific concepts, practical skills, and exam preparation – delivering tailored support in both one-to-one and small-group formats.

Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Responsibilities
  • Support science lessons by reinforcing content, assisting practical tasks, and encouraging engagement
  • Lead small-group science interventions and one-to-one revision sessions
  • Provide additional support to students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and processing challenges
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo and Science Department to promote consistent academic progress
This opportunity is ideal for a Science Graduate aspiring to become a teacher, educational psychologist, or work in a related field such as science communication or healthcare. As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a cohesive team, benefit from professional development opportunities, and gain valuable classroom experience.

We are looking for a Science Graduate who:
  • Holds a First-Class or high 2:1 degree in a science-related subject
  • Demonstrates a strong academic record and genuine interest in science education
  • Has patience, resilience, and an eagerness to work with pupils of varied needs
  • Is available full-time from September 2025 to July 2026
Becoming a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant is a fantastic way to build a foundation for a future career in education while making a tangible difference in pupils’ academic journeys.
