Science Teacher | Barnet | January Start
Alternative Provision | SEMH & SEND | Ages 14+
A unique alternative education setting in Barnet is looking for a Science Teacher to join their team from January. This is a part-time Science Teacher position with 7 to 8 teaching hours per week, offered on a fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent.
 
As a Science Teacher, you will teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work with small groups of students in a well-supported environment where every Science Teacher and staff member plays a vital role in creating positive outcomes.
 
The provision supports learners aged 14+ who face challenges in mainstream education due to SEMH needs and other barriers. With a flexible and supportive approach, it offers a broad, tailored curriculum including both academic and vocational subjects to help students re-engage with learning and move forward confidently.
 
What We’re Looking For | Science Teacher Position:
  • A qualified Science Teacher with QTS or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge at GCSE level
  • Empathetic and flexible approach to teaching
  • Experience or interest in SEMH or SEND settings
