SEN Teaching Assistant | Barking & Dagenham | September Start

- Provide dedicated support to students with SEN and SEMH needs, on a 1:1 and group basis
- Help deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, following the curriculum effectively
- Lead interventions and support sessions focused on academic progress and emotional wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Collaborate with the SEND and pastoral teams to implement targeted support strategies
- Use proactive, creative methods to manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement
- Support classroom teachers across a large school environment
- Take on responsibility and show initiative to work toward middle and senior leadership positions
- A driven SEN Teaching Assistant with a 1:1 Degree from a top 20 UK university
- Holds QTS or is working toward a career in teaching or educational psychology
- Previous SEN experience is essential, particularly within SEMH settings
- Confident, supportive, and adaptable with a proactive mindset
- A strong team player who is committed to student progress and attainment
