Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444 per week (PAYE)

A highly supportive primary school in Richmond is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from September 2025. This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with one pupil who has an EHCP and requires extra support to access learning.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support in class, help the pupil manage routines and behaviour, and deliver short, structured interventions. You’ll work closely with the SENCO, class teacher and parents to ensure the child thrives.

 
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for a graduate with experience or interest in SEND, psychology, or speech and language.

 
Key responsibilities:

• Providing personalised support to a child with SEND
• Encouraging focus, social interaction and communication
• Adapting resources and supporting with behaviour management
• Supporting inclusion in class and during breaks

 
We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education or a related subject
• Some experience with children with SEND (personal or professional)
• A caring, consistent and patient approach
• A full-time commitment for the academic year
