SENCO (Secondary School)
Location: Camden, North London
Contract: Permanent or long-term
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Start date: April 2026 or sooner by agreement
A well-regarded secondary school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to lead and develop its SEND provision. The role:
- Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school
- Ensure statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice are met
- Oversee EHCP processes, reviews and annual reporting
- Work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, external professionals and families
- Line manage support staff and contribute to whole-school improvement
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and provision
- Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination
- Has experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a secondary setting
- Has strong knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practice
- Is confident working with data to inform provision and outcomes
- Can communicate effectively with staff, parents and external agencies
- Is organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities
- A supportive senior leadership team with a strong commitment to inclusion
- Well-established SEND systems with scope for further development
