Job description

SENDCo Opportunity | Outstanding Secondary Academy | Inner London

An Outstanding-rated secondary academy in South London is seeking an experienced and values-led SENDCo to join its leadership team at an exciting stage of sustained success.

What’s on offer:
  • Inner London MPS/UPS + TLR
  • Excellent pension schemes (TPS/LGPS)
  • High-quality CPD and instructional coaching
  • A strong staff wellbeing programme
  • Clear progression and leadership development pathways
Following a recent full Ofsted inspection, the school was judged Outstanding in all areas. Inspectors praised the strong culture of inclusion, exceptional behaviour, and the warm, respectful relationships between staff and pupils - highlighting a community where values are not just stated, but truly lived.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified NASENCo / NPQSENDCo to make a meaningful impact within a diverse, community-focused academy that places inclusive practice at the heart of everything it does.

You will lead and develop SEND provision across the school, managing a varied and complex EHCP caseload, line-managing support staff, and working closely with senior leaders to drive strategic improvement. A key element of the role is delivering high-quality CPD and training, ensuring all teachers are confident, skilled practitioners for SEND as part of everyday classroom practice.

Strong collaboration with families and external professionals is central to the role, as is a shared belief that every child can reach their full potential, regardless of background or starting point.

This post would suit:
  • An experienced SENDCo looking for a thriving, supportive environment
  • A strong middle leader ready to step into SEND leadership
  • A professional passionate about inclusive, transformational education
If you’re ready to lead inclusive practice in an Outstanding school where staff are valued and supported, we’d love to hear from you.
