SEND Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs & SEMH) – Islington
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, term-time only, full academic year

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of Special Educational Needs, particularly Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will provide support in both group and one-to-one settings within the classroom environment.

- Adapting support approaches to suit individual pupil needs.
- Promoting pupil progress and emotional development.
- Gaining practical experience supporting pupils with complex learning and behavioural challenges.
SEND Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs & SEMH) – Job Requirements
- Minimum 2:1 degree from a UK university.
- Previous experience supporting children or young people, particularly with SEMH or SEN, is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Genuine interest in progressing in education or child psychology.
