SEND Teaching Assistant – Hull
If you are a proactive, intuitive Teaching Assistant who can effectively support the learning of 4-11 year olds, our partner school in Hull would love to talk to you about their current Teaching Assistant opportunity!
This Teaching Assistant role is starting in January and will see you joining a wonderful school community. As the school’s newest Teaching Assistant, you will be involved in providing specialist support to children who have been diagnosed with ASC, ADHD and Global Development Delay.

SEND Teaching Assistant – Job Role
- Teaching Assistant role commencing January 2026
- £450-£500 per week | Paid PAYE on a weekly basis
- Working closely with pupils with ASC, ADHD and Global Delay
- Providing 1:1 support inside and outside of the classroom
- Helping pupils to remain focused and engaged with class
- Dealing with challenging and resistant behaviour calmly and confidently
- Minimum of a 2:1 degree
- Strong academic record at A-Level and GCSE
- Previous child-centred experience with the 4-11 age range (specific experience supporting children with speech and language / communication difficulties is desirable)
- Confident, quick-thinking, proactive and enthusiastic mindset required
- A good sense of humour and the patience and resilience to overcome challenging moments calmly and in a professional manner
- A love of education and the desire to positively impact the lives of others
