Specialist Learning Assistant - ARMS Provision | Harrow | September Start
A welcoming three-form entry primary school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated Specialist Learning Assistant to join its ARMS provision in September.
 
This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a Specialist Learning Assistant passionate about supporting children primarily with autism, but also involving other complex needs such as learning difficulties, medical conditions, and challenging behaviours.
 
The successful Specialist Learning Assistant will work alongside experienced staff to deliver individualised support. This role is ideal for a Specialist Learning Assistant with prior experience in a SEN school or supporting SEND pupils in mainstream settings.
 
Location: Harrow
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £444 per week (PAYE) + SEN allowance 
Contract: Full-time, Term-time
 
Specialist Learning Assistant | Role Overview:
  • Support pupils with autism and complex needs
  • Adapt resources based on EHCPs
  • Promote communication, regulation, and independence
  • Assist with personal care and use of sensory strategies
 
Specialist Learning Assistant Role | You Will Need:
  • 2:1 or above in a UK BSc or BA Psychology degree
  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive mindset
  • Confidence with visual and sensory communication tools
  • Teamwork and strong communication skills
