Specialist Learning Assistant | Barnet | Immediate Start
A well-resourced two-form entry primary school in Barnet is seeking a compassionate Specialist Learning Assistant to join its SEN provision.
This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a Specialist Learning Assistant passionate about supporting children primarily with autism, but also involving other complex needs such as learning difficulties, medical conditions, and challenging behaviours.
The successful Specialist Learning Assistant will work alongside experienced staff to deliver individualised support. This role is ideal for a Specialist Learning Assistant with prior experience in a SEN school or supporting SEND pupils in mainstream settings.
Location: Barnet
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £450 per week (PAYE) minimum
Contract: Full-time, Term-time

- Adapt resources based on EHCPs
- Promote communication, regulation, and independence
- Assist with personal care and use of sensory strategies
Specialist Learning Assistant Role | You Will Need:
- 2:1 or above in a UK BSc or BA Psychology degree
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive mindset
- Confidence with visual and sensory communication tools
- Teamwork and strong communication skills
