Support Assistant – Wandsworth – September 2025 Start
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you a calm, patient and proactive individual looking to support children with additional needs as a Support Assistant this September?
An inclusive and well-resourced special needs primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a Support Assistant to join their team in September. This Support Assistant role is ideal for someone who is confident, hands-on and able to support pupils with a range of complex needs.
As a Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to provide care, guidance and access to learning for pupils across a range of pathways. From personal care and communication support, to delivering small-group activities and integrated therapy programmes – this is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

- Supporting pupils with EHCPs, complex needs and medical conditions (full training provided)
- Encouraging pupil engagement, communication and independence
- Assisting with learning activities, therapy sessions and daily routines
- Contributing to a safe, calm and purposeful learning environment
- Recording pupil progress using assessment software
We’re looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A positive, resilient and team-oriented mindset
- Some understanding of EYFS or Primary Curriculum (desirable)
- Full academic year availability (September–July)
