Assistant SENCO | The Role
- As our Assistant SENCO, you will support the SENCO in ensuring that pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the best possible support.
- You will help identify needs, coordinate interventions, maintain accurate records, liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies, and promote inclusive teaching practices throughout the school.
- Practical skills to align SEND strategies with school improvement plans.
- Expertise in managing projects, coaching, mentoring, and team collaboration.
- Expert guidance from experienced SEND professionals.
- Invitations to SEND CPD on topics such as dyslexia, autism, trauma, and more.
- The opportunity to do a Level 5 SENCO apprenticeship: This apprenticeship builds on your existing experience and qualifications, combining flexible online learning, practical projects in your school, live workshops, and one-to-one support.
