Chemistry Teacher – Wandsworth Location: London Borough of Wandsworth
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start date: September 2026

 

A high-achieving secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to join its successful Science department. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a passionate Chemistry Teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality lessons and inspiring students to succeed in science. The successful Chemistry Teacher will deliver engaging lessons and support students across Key Stages 3–4, with the possibility of teaching A-Level for an experienced Chemistry Teacher.

  Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons as a Chemistry Teacher across KS3–KS5

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Support practical experiments and laboratory learning as a Chemistry Teacher

  • Work collaboratively with the wider Science department

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement in line with school expectations

  Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related subject

  • Experience teaching secondary science, particularly Chemistry

  • A passionate and motivated Chemistry Teacher who can inspire students
