Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)

Are you a recent graduate with previous Early Years experience, looking to support children in their crucial first years of education?

A welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team, providing tailored support for pupils in Nursery and Reception. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience while helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

As a Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework. You’ll provide 1:1 and small group support, ensuring every child can thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant - Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting children in Nursery and Reception with early learning and play-based activities
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions in phonics, literacy, and numeracy
  • Assisting with classroom routines, behaviour management, and resource preparation
  • Encouraging children’s social and emotional development through positive interactions
  • Supporting children with additional needs to ensure full inclusivity within the classroom
This role is ideal for graduates aspiring to become Primary Teachers, Early Years Specialists, or those passionate about supporting young children in their early education journey.

Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant - We’re looking for:
  • A recent graduate with a 2:1 or First-Class degree (any subject considered)
  • Previous experience working with EYFS-aged children (voluntary or paid)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children in their formative years
  • Commitment from September 2025 to July 2026
