History Teacher | Southwark | September Start
A secondary school in Southwark is looking to appoint a History Teacher from September.
The school is keen to hear from teachers who enjoy bringing historical topics to life and encouraging pupils to think critically about the past. This position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers looking for a new opportunity in a supportive department.
You will be teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching KS5 depending on experience. The Humanities department works collaboratively and places a strong emphasis on clear lesson structure and strong subject knowledge.

- Plan and deliver lessons covering a range of historical periods and themes
- Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations
- Assess pupil work and monitor progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning within the Humanities department
- QTS and a degree in History or a related subject
- Good subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
- Experience teaching GCSE History (A-Level desirable)
- Strong organisation and behaviour management
- Supportive Humanities department
- Clear behaviour systems across the school
