KS1 Phase Lead | Bromley | September Start

Are you an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher ready to take on phase leadership from September?

A well-regarded primary school in Bromley is seeking a KS1 Phase Lead to join their leadership team from September. This role would suit a strong classroom practitioner with a track record of good outcomes in KS1 who is ready to lead a phase and support colleagues.

Alongside class teaching responsibilities, you will oversee Year 1 and Year 2, supporting planning, assessment and consistency across the phase. You will work closely with SLT to ensure strong phonics outcomes and smooth transition from EYFS into KS1.

KS1 Phase Lead – Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the KS1 phase (Year 1 and Year 2)
• Support planning, assessment and moderation across the phase
• Monitor pupil progress and drive improvements in reading, writing and maths
• Coach and support teachers within the phase
• Contribute to whole-school development planning

Person Specification:
• QTS and substantial KS1 teaching experience
• Strong understanding of phonics and KS1 assessment
• Previous leadership experience (Year Lead or subject lead desirable)
• Proven track record of raising attainment
• Organised and able to lead by example
