Are you a Maths graduate eager to gain classroom experience ahead of a future in teaching?
 
We’re working with forward-thinking secondary schools in Haringey that are keen to appoint Maths Academic Mentors for the new academic year. These schools are committed to raising attainment in numeracy and supporting students to reach their full potential in mathematics. You’ll join a supportive Maths department where you’ll work closely with experienced teachers and help students build both skill and confidence.
 
Maths Academic Mentor – What the School Offers

• Targeted support and mentoring from Maths subject leaders

• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
• Interviews will take place in September 2025

 
Maths Academic Mentor – What the Role Involves

• Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths
• Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Assisting with planning and delivering engaging numeracy activities
• Helping prepare students for their GCSE exams
• Tracking progress and supporting those who need additional help

 
Maths Academic Mentor – What the School is Looking For
Applicants should hold a 2:1 or above in Mathematics (or a closely related subject) from a leading university. Strong academic knowledge, clear communication skills and a genuine passion for education are essential. Experience working with young people – particularly in a tutoring or school-based capacity – is desirable but not essential.
Please note, all applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK – we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.
 
Maths Academic Mentor – Salary and Contract Info

• £444 per week (term time only)
• Full-time contract from September 2025 – July 2026
• Ideal for aspiring Maths teachers
