Are you a Maths ECT ready to begin your teaching career this September?

A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a Maths ECT to join their department from September. This role would suit a trainee teacher completing their PGCE or teacher training this year who is looking for a supportive environment to complete their ECT induction.

You will be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to observe KS5 lessons and develop your subject teaching further. The Maths department is well organised and has a strong mentoring structure in place for early career teachers.

Maths ECT – Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Maths across KS3–KS4
• Plan and deliver clear, structured lessons
• Assess pupil progress and provide regular feedback
• Develop classroom practice through mentoring and training
• Participate fully in the school’s ECT induction programme

Person Specification:
• QTS (or on track to achieve QTS by September)
• Degree in Maths or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and clear communication skills
• Keen to develop as a teacher in a supportive department
